Redwoods in Brea?
The trees, which aren't native to Southern California, got there in a funny way. In the 1970s, a local bank was giving away redwood saplings to new customers. They gave the extras to the county, which planted the more than 200 trees. Now, 40 years old, the tallest stands at 92 feet. In Northern California, the tallest stands at 379 feet, or the height of a 37-story building. http://www.ocregister.com/articles/park-667291-redwoods-grove.html
